Almost 70% of developers lose 20% of their time because of various inefficiencies (tech debt, insufficient documentation, build process, lack of deep work time, etc.). And, according to leaders, many of these inefficiencies may be caused by understaffing.
Leaders seem to understand that developer experience is critical to improving productivity. And yet many organizations struggle with measuring it – the amount of code written or the number of story points completed are still commonly used metrics to measure productivity…
Finally, leaders believe AI-powered tools are the most effective way to improve developer productivity. And yet 60%+ developers see no or only slight improvement in their productivity thanks to AI tools.
